Namaste,
Life has been so incredibly full & inspiring. It was amazing to have my dear friend and colleague Jodi Boone in Seattle. Our retreat on Whidbey Island was so magical, we were blessed with bright warm days which enabled us to spend much of our time outdoors sharing meals, hikes and even a hysterical partner yoga class. We truly enjoyed the gathering of our beautiful yoga community. Thank you so much to those that were able to come. We look so forward to next year!

As the weather begins to change, we can take the opportunity and move deeper within. The seasons and cycles of life teach us that powerful transformation happens when we are in a quiet, reflective space. We can warm ourselves with regular Asana and Pranayama and include longer periods of sitting meditation in our practice. Taking regular epsom salt baths, followed by sesame oil massage, & eating wholesome warm foods such as lentils, rice, soups and root vegetables are also ways to ground ourselves during this time. It is so important to remember how to nourish ourselves as we operate in everyday life. The science of Ayurveda can remind us how to keep ourselves in balance and harmonize with the elements of the universe.

I have been looking into Ayurveda - yoga's sister science for many years and have decided to embark on a practitioner course beginning this month. I am very excited to begin this journey so that I can share all of what I discover with my community. I will be studying both in Seattle and in India.

My departure date for India this year is December 7th. I am looking forward to sharing this time with students and friends who will be on retreat in Goa & Rajasthan. It will be an amazing journey. I am also very excited to have my beautiful husband Jason with me for the first 5 weeks of my journey and reuniting with sweet Jodi. I will be updating stories on this page of my website so please check back from time to time.

Visiting India is endlessly fascinating. I have been so touched by my time there and have enjoyed documenting my experiences through photography. I currently have some photos of my past travels up at Sutra in Wallingford. sutraseattle.com

Lastly I am happy to announce my upcoming audio cd - a full 75 minute Vinyasa practice. I expect it out in the world by November. More details to come.

In love & light,
Tami

Namaste,
It is so wonderful to be back in Seattle and vibrant Spring. My time away was an incredible gift.

December was spent wandering through the deserts and remarkable ancient civilizations of Egypt and Jordan. I enjoyed so much sharing the Middle East and my heritage with Jason, my husband.

I then went to India where I spent the first few weeks of January in an intensive yoga retreat soaking up the teachings as a student.
After retreat I met up for more traveling adventures with my beloved friend Jodi Boone. We spent time in the holy city of Varanasi and Rajasthan's capital Jaipur. On Feb 16th we headed south to Varkala - Kerala to co teach our Yoga and Ayurveda retreat. We were greeted by a beautiful group of Ayurvedic doctors and therapists at the retreat center and were reunited with many of our lovely Seattle students and some wonderful new students from the UK. It was an incredible time; the setting absolutely exquisite and I am still dreaming about the Keralan cuisine and daily massage treatments...

I am looking forward to sharing the inspiration that I received on my journey with you.
